Why Consign With Us
Whether you’ve inherited furniture, are looking to downsize or are just ready for a change, FOUND can help by selling your quality antique and vintage items. When you consign at FOUND your items will be professionally displayed in the store. We’ll also photograph and feature them on our website, Facebook page and in our monthly newsletter. We’ll use our expertise to help you determine a fair price that will move your items quickly.
What we accept
Antique and vintage furniture, carpets, art, mirrors and lighting. We do not accept items manufactured after 1970 (exceptions made for unusual late mid-century-modern/designer items).
How it works
FOUND will take as commission a percentage of the sales price of each item sold on behalf of the consignor according to the following schedule:
• Under $500 – 40%
• $500-$1,000 – 30%
• $1,000 and above – 20%
Items are consigned for a period of 60 days. If after thirty days an item hasn’t sold, the price will be reduced by 15%. Payment of the sales proceeds less commission, will be mailed by the 3rd business day of the month following the sale. FOUND will present reasonable offers to the consignor for consideration.
Unless otherwise arranged, consignor is responsible for transport of items to and from FOUND. Pick up services are available for an extra charge.
We also purchase some items outright. We’ll pay less than you’d get from a consignment sale but you get cash in hand immediately and we take the risk that the item won’t sell.
