STORYTELLER opens today Wednesday, May 16th and features the work of collage artist Mary Anderson. Please join us for an opening reception on Thursday, May 17th from 5-7. Stop by to meet Mary, see the show and enjoy a little after-hours shopping. Refreshments will be served!!

Mary Anderson is an award-winning children’s book author of thirty novels and two plays. Writing has always impacted Mary’s art and her desire to tell a good story with a lasting theme is a hallmark of her work. Whether writing or creating collages on glass, Mary incorporates bits and pieces of many people, places and things, reshaping them into something new. Old photos figure prominently in her work. The tenuous aspect of collage on glass makes the images more durable and at the same time creates artwork which is far more fragile, reflecting the more temporary aspects of life.

We’re so excited about our Antique & Vintage Flea Market this year! All of the available space for the May 20th FLEA has been rented, so this means we’ll have 30 vendors outside in addition to our 45 fabulous FOUND dealers inside.

The FLEA takes place in our parking lot at 227 Cherry Street on the third Sunday of the month through October.

Great treasure hunting, bargain shopping and tons of fun!!

Bronson Pinchot stopped by on Saturday to do a little shopping for his new DIY show “The Bronson Pinchot Project”.  This fun new renovation reality show airs on Saturday nights at 10:30 and takes place on location just down the road in Harford, PA.

This early dollhouse will be featured on a future episode of his new show on the DIY channel!

Time for a road trip!

A fabulous Midcentury art and design show will be opening soon in Rochester at the Memorial Art Gallery. Crafting Modernism: Midcentury American Art and Design opens in the Grand Gallery on Sunday, February 26 and will be up until Sunday May 2oth. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, February 25. Looks like a fabulous show!!

Collectors Weekly has an article titled “Does Facebook Have a Paper Fetish“  which chronicles the work of their “Analog Research Lab”. This “lab” turns out woodblock, silk screen and offset print motivational posters in wonderful retro designs.

So…let’s say FOUND has its very own print shop. What should we put on our posters?
