Donna Faivre-Roberts: Wisdom of the Wood

The Gallery @ FOUND is pleased to present sculptor Donna Faivre-Roberts in a new show.

Ms. Faivre-Roberts’ figurative sculptures are a fusion of sand-worn wood and other natural objects with faces and other ‘human’ elements sculpted from clay. Her figures vary from whimsical and spiritual to dreamlike and surreal. After gathering, washing and sorting, the wood is rubbed with beeswax and orange oil. This is the moment when the true beauty of the wood is revealed and a figure begins to emerge.

Wisdom of the Wood opens on Wednesday, April 18th. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, April 19th from 5-7. Stop by to meet Donna, see the show and enjoy a little after-hours shopping. Refreshments will be served!! The show will hang in the gallery until May 13th.
