Pat Thomas-Hunsinger received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Cortland in Studio Art and earned her M.F.A in Printmaking from Ohio University. She has taught at a variety of schools, including Long Island University at C.W. Post, Parsons New School for Design and most recently, Ithaca College.
Her current work, entitled Songs of Innocence and Experience focuses on the stages of development that humans experience as they progress through the various cycles of life. These cycles include physical and emotional changes, manifested through development in the body, the mind, and the heart.
She seeks to express how life experiences shape us as human beings as we grow from adolescence to adulthood, and also as we transform from life events. This includes looking at the cycles of the curious youth, of the heartbroken adolescent, and of the constantly changing adult world.
