Nance with Kitties CROPPED

Nance Boyce is a devoted vintage fan who loves every day slice of life items especially from the 60s and 70s. She loves shopping for and selling kitchen & household objects, jewelry, purses, and fashion & sewing related items. The quirkier the better!! You’ll recognize her booth by her lively, colorful and funky style.

A lifelong collector, Nance got bitten by the bug after her grandmother gave her a milk glass hen on a nest. Today she has one in just about every size and color. Nance loves a good garage or estate sale, is a regular thrift store shopper and can be found searching for treasures any place where there is old funky stuff to be had. Nance joined FOUND in August 2010 and though this is her first real venture into the antique business, she says that selling “is in her bones”. She studied fashion illustration and design in London at the Chelsea School of Art and armed with an art degree in Fashion Illustration from Syracuse University Nance landed her first job selling shoes in NYC.

After returning to the Finger Lakes Nance began to concentrate more exclusively on her own art. For several years she owned and operated a small “everything local” gallery in Groton, NY and for the last ten years Nance has been a member of the Ithaca Farmers’ Market where she sells on Sundays, May through December. Her work was featured in the Gallery at FOUND in March 2012 in a show titled Re-pop.

Shale PointeNance grew up in Poplar Ridge and the town of Scipio on Owasco Lake. Her favorite spot in the area is “Shale Point” (left), her family’s turn of the century Arts and Crafts style cottage on Owasco Lake. Today Nance lives in the Village of Groton with her husband and son. We’re thrilled to have Nance’s spirited funky energy and style at FOUND!
