Kathy Bruce: MELANCHOLIA

 

Our featured artist beginning July 21st will be collage artist Kathy Bruce.

Her new show “Melancholia” will hang in the Gallery through September 1st.

Ms. Bruce is a site-specific environmental artist born and raised in Ithaca, NY. She received an M.F.A from Yale University School of Art and a certificate from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and is the recipient of numerous grants and awards.

Her work focuses on how the poetic aspects of animal “nature” are inter-changeable with psychological traits of humans. In her show she introduces the moment of hybridization in which animal and human nature merge. We hope you’ll stop by soon to see this great new show!
